Goode Wood Creation is a one man, custom cabinet and wood working shop. I have a network of other shops that I involve in larger projects. In this manner, I am able to put out a superior product, stay flexible and truly custom. When I work on a project I am involved in every detail, from design to completion. Some of my work has been featured in Kitchen and Bath Magazine. I think you will appreciate the quality of the work shown by the photos on this website.
I apprenticed in San Francisco with a master cabinetmaker in the mid 70s, then started my own business in 1982. In 1991 I moved my shop and home up to the Sierra foothills. I work for customers in Sacramento and the Bay Area as well as locally in El Dorado County.
An architect designed many of the projects shown. Some design were based on pictures or ideas that customers had on their own. I usually do shop drawings to work out details and I may have some design opinions, but listening to what the customers want is the main goal.
